Overnight road sweeping to block right lane on Trans-Canada Highway, Nov. 2–6
DriveBC lists overnight road sweeping in both directions between the Lynn Valley and 21st Street interchanges, starting November 2, with delays expected.
Crews will sweep the Trans-Canada Highway near Lynn Valley and 21st Street starting the night of Monday, November 2, according to two DriveBC notices published October 30. Drivers should expect delays.
In the westbound direction, the work runs from the Lynn Valley Onramp to the 21st Street offramp. DriveBC says the right lane will be blocked and asks drivers to watch for slow-moving vehicles on the shoulder while crews sweep.
In the eastbound direction, the work runs from the 21st Street onramp to the Lynn Valley Road offramp. DriveBC lists the right lane as closed there, with the same warning about slow-moving vehicles on the shoulder.
Both notices give the same overall window: from 9:00 PM on Monday, November 2, until 5:00 AM on Friday, November 6. The eastbound notice adds that the work happens from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next day, Monday to Thursday.
DriveBC classes both events as minor road maintenance. Current conditions are posted at drivebc.ca.
