A traffic control permit for construction work on Palm Avenue takes effect on November 4 and runs to December 30, according to a City of Burnaby permit record.

The permit, numbered TC26-01565, covers Palm Avenue between Imperial Street and the cul-de-sac. The record also lists Beresford Street as a cross street. It is for material deliveries and concrete pours for the BCGEU Affordable Housing Project at 6945 Palm Avenue.

Work hours under the permit are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The record says the road will not be fully closed, and the street is not on a bus route. No noise variance is required. The permit status is approved.

The record says parking service is required, with an additional 5 business days needed.

The permit follows an earlier one for the same stretch of Palm Avenue and the same project. That permit, TC26-01265, covered September 8 to November 3 with the same daily hours, and was also not a full closure. The new permit was issued on October 21.

Why it matters: Drivers and people who live on or near Palm Avenue near Imperial Street can expect construction deliveries and concrete trucks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily between November 4 and December 30. The road stays open.
